TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTER
The Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center (OVC TTAC) provides comprehensive, quality technical assistance and training resources to victim service providers and allied professionals.
Training Initiatives
- State Victim Assistance Academies (SVAAs):
- Modeled after the National Victim Assistance Academy, SVAAs provide state-specific training in victim issues. Information about SVAAs and help with establishing them is available.
- Training for Victim Service Providers:
- OVC brings practical skill-building sessions to victim service providers throughout the country. Continue meeting your 2009 training goals with this lineup of select workshops from OVC!
- VATOnline, NVAA, and Other Training Offerings:
- Information on some of the many training opportunities available to victim service providers, including the upcoming Victim Assistance Training Online (VATOnline) and National Victim Assistance Academies (NVAAs).
Scholarship Programs
OVC is pleased to be offering scholarships to victim service providers and eligible agencies and organizations. The following pages provide information on the application process, eligibility criteria, and application due dates for two OVC scholarship programs:
- Professional Development Scholarship Program. The program provides up to $1,000 for individuals and up to $5,000 for multidisciplinary teams for victim service professionals seeking continuing education opportunities.
- State Crime Victim/Survivor Scholarship Program. The program provides agencies with funds to offer scholarships that help eligible victims/survivors attend their conference.
